Build the skills school assumes kids already have.

Success Skills Studio teaches executive functioning — planning, focus, starting work, following through, and staying regulated — for elementary, middle, micro-school, and homeschool students.

The studio

Skills that make school — and home — feel more doable.

The goal is not just getting through tonight’s homework. It is helping children feel capable with routines, transitions, friendships, and independent work.

Led by Alisha M. Rodriguez, Success Skills Studio offers small groups and one-on-one coaching. Sessions can be in person or virtual, so families can choose the format that fits their week.

What we strengthen

Executive functioning, practiced in real life.

These are the skills children use every day in class, at home, and with friends.

01

Getting started

Task initiation when work feels big, boring, or unclear.

02

Focus & follow-through

Attention, persistence, and finishing what they begin.

03

Planning & organization

Breaking work into steps, keeping materials, and managing time.

04

Flexible thinking

Shifting when plans change instead of shutting down.

05

Emotional regulation

Tools for frustration, transitions, and big feelings.

06

Confidence

Routines and a personal toolbox they can use without a grown-up hovering.

A good fit

Families come to us when school support is not enough on its own.

  • Homework battles, lost papers, or last-minute panic
  • Trouble starting, staying with, or finishing work
  • Learning differences, ADHD, autism, or other neurodivergence
  • IEP, 504, or other school supports that still leave gaps
  • Micro-school or homeschool students who need skill coaching, not more content

What the parent form asks

So we can support your child well, we collect:

  • Parent name, phone, and email
  • Child’s first and last name and current grade
  • Areas of concern
  • Optional notes on diagnoses, learning differences, or neurodivergence
  • Whether your child receives school support

How we work

Choose the container that fits your family.

Small groups

Age-matched practice with peers in a tight, supportive setting.

1 on 1

Individual coaching tailored to your child’s exact friction points.

In person

Hands-on sessions when being in the room helps skills stick.

Virtual

Live coaching from home for busy or distance families.

Ready for a calmer path forward?

Share a few details about your child. We will use them to see whether group, 1:1, in-person, or virtual support is the right next step.
